110816 “on tape”

with sound Posted on 2011-08-20 17:46:15

a draft of a possible soundscape for the exhibition hall, free abstract improvisation, not so much in the bluesy vein, but it has a certain melancholic ring to it..

110727 “fear not II”

with sound Posted on 2011-07-27 16:11:04

i believe what is said, that all human actions stems from either of two feelings; love or fear. the madman in norway obviously lost his ability to love at some point early on. when disaster hits us we must try not to fear. it might be pretentious but i think music can console in that it helps opening up to whatever emotional state you might find yourself in. this one tries to reflect hope and dignity in moments of despair.

110720 “cruisin fresh supplies””

with sound Posted on 2011-07-20 23:55:51

this afternoon me and my brother tomas joined john for a ride in his boat. a slick thing with a big engine, the boat that is. we anchored up and had a good swim in lake mälaren. funny thing is, today there was an article in the newspaper about the many accidents with boats in mälaren leaking out oil and petrol, and how that endangered the fresh water supplies. mälaren, being swedens third largest lake, is the source of drinking water for about two million people. and here we were, with 150 liters in the tank, happily cruising into the sunset. no accident though. and it was a highly enjoyable ride.

with sound Posted on 2011-07-14 23:59:49

my digital piano at home seems to have cought a virus or something. all the sounds in it has a strange slightly detuned ring to them, as if run through a ring modulator. but it´s old and i have played it a lot so if it´s giving in it´s no wonder. snif.

110712 “nin”

with sound Posted on 2011-07-12 23:44:30

to the erotic prose of anaïs nin, somewhat energetic.

though you can play it anyway you desire.. like rather, slowly and making use of the built in transpositional melody in the end.

110710 “leaving south”

with sound Posted on 2011-07-12 23:38:43

in the backseat of my dads car, heading north through the forested shire of ‘småland’ (a portion of sweden it takes ages to drive through, at least that is how i´ve always felt about it). it´s been a good week with friends and family and maybe that´s why this piece came out slightly melancholic. the 15-bar blues structure i guess i have to blame the ‘endless’ car ride..
